The digital professional

The digital area is one of the relevant pillars for the revitalization of the economy and a bet that sheds light on the future of professionals. The activity of certain professions seems to have been stagnant in the face of the crisis, however, the digital field is not forbidden. Job opportunities continue to grow in this area. It has a potential to be explored.

The new ways of informing and communicating have come to stay, they have arrived in a disruptive way and this strongly affects various professional sectors in which, in many cases, multidisciplinary is the key factor to "survive" at work.

The digital agenda for Europe

As the European Commission's own page indicates, the Digital Agenda for Europe (ADE) , which was generated in 2010 and has been revised in 2012, is the first of the seven major initiatives framed in the context of the Strategy Europe 2020 for a reasonable and sustained growth that aims to integrate all the countries and citizens of the European Union area.

According to the European Commission, the Digital Agenda establishes seven objectives that try to cover the specific need to face seven obstacles that undermine the optimal exploitation of ICT in the European continent, and that have championed the design of the actions included in the digital strategy :

1.            Create a single, digital market for the entire European Union.

2.            Establish a modern legal framework on ICT.

3.            Boosting trust and cybersecurity on the Internet.

4.            Guarantee the development of broadband on the Internet.

5.            Stimulate investment in R&D related to information technologies.

6.            Promote digital literacy and the development of the main skills of the new environment in European citizens.

7.            Apply ICT to face the multiple challenges of today's society.

Digital personal identity.

One can generate their own digital identity by participating in the Internet : basically by contributing texts, images and videos to the Internet, participating, in short, in the web world.

A well-managed and homogeneous digital identity with analogue identity not only affects a more active life in all areas, but also tends to consolidate a more solid social network outside the Internet. Even today, and avoiding exaggerations, it is essential to develop professionally.

Digital identity can be configured in many ways and the same person can have different identities using different tools or have only one.

Here is a series of free and accessible online tools, through which anyone can create a digital identity:

1.            Blogs.

2.            Microblogs.

3.            News portals and websites.

4.            Generic or specialized social networking sites, such as Facebook or LinkedIn.

5.            Texts, photos or videos on the web, Google Docs, Picasa, Flickr, YouTube or Vimeo.

6.            The email.
